About Editors Toronto
We are the Toronto branch of Editors Canada—the only national association devoted to editors and the editing profession. Editors Toronto is an active, vibrant group of freelance and in-house editors who work with organizations and individuals in the corporate, not-for-profit, technical, government, digital, publishing, and academic sectors in Canada and around the world. We host an informative program during our branch meeting in the fourth week of every month except June, July, August, and December.
Like Editors Canada, Editors Toronto offers and supports professional development, maintains and promotes high standards of editing, and helps salaried and freelance editors to collaborate and network.

Editors Toronto comprises members of Editors Canada who live in the GTA, though members from any branch or twig are welcome to our programming. Mission Statement
To build and nurture a welcoming community of editors in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and to provide education, resources, and professional opportunities.
Vision Statement
We are the voice of editors within the GTA, representing them when communicating with the Editors Canada national office, the National Executive Committee (NEC), other branches/twigs, and the community at large. Our vision is to make Editors Toronto members aware of and engaged with the services and opportunities offered by the branch and the NEC. We strive to always innovate the way we do things to align with the needs of our current members and draw in potential new members.
