Join Editors Toronto on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm EDT via Microsoft Teams for a special program session on “General Small Business Tax Literacy” presented by the CRA Liaison Officer service.
Tax season is here! If you are a self-employed editor, have an editing business (registered as a sole proprietorship or partnership), or are curious about starting one, this is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of tax requirements and ask your burning questions. This webinar will be conducted by CRA professionals and will help you learn about:
- business tax deductions
- common tax errors
- helpful tools and services offered by the CRA
- general bookkeeping concepts and best practices
About the format:
As this session will be hosted through the CRA, there are a few differences from our usual format to note:
- This will be a lunch-and-learn session booked from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
- The meeting will take place on Microsoft Teams instead of Zoom. You will not need a Microsoft account to log into the meeting.
- This session will not be recorded, but we will share all resources provided by the CRA with registrants after the session. If you are not able to attend this webinar, we encourage you to book a personalized visit with the Liaison Officer service by visiting canada.ca/cra-liaison-officer.
- The chat feature will be disabled during the webinar due to CRA security protocols, but verbal questions are encouraged.
This webinar is free for all attendees!
