Join Editors Toronto on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 7:00 pm EDT via Zoom for “Updates to The Chicago Manual of Style: A Round Table.”
The 18th edition of The Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) debuted last month, and with it comes a plethora of changes and clarifications. Among updates to existing sections, the 18th edition also includes new sections on Indigenous languages, inclusive language, and accessibility. CMOS Online has also received layout and accessibility changes to aid users.
Our discussion will focus on getting up to speed with the changes and examining the nuances introduced. We’ll also touch on recommendations for transitioning from using CMOS 17 to 18 in day-to-day work.
